Regal Self Drive Cars Bangalore – Vehicle Usage Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Regal Self Drive Cars Bangalore (“Regal,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By enrolling and using our self-drive vehicle rental services through our website or offline channels, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Definitions and Interpretations

  • User: Any person who registers with Regal to avail of self-drive rental services.

  • Vehicle: A car or any four-wheeled motor vehicle provided by Regal for self-drive use.

  • Booking: The confirmed rental of a vehicle by a User for a specified period.

  • Agreement: These Terms and Conditions and all related policies.

  • Rental Period: The duration from vehicle pick-up to return.

2. User Agreement

Upon accepting these Terms & Conditions, the User acknowledges and agrees that:

  • They are legally eligible to enter into binding agreements.

  • They will comply with all traffic and safety laws.

  • They will use the vehicle for lawful and permitted purposes only.

3. Enrollment as User

Persons Eligible to Enroll:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Must hold a valid Indian driving license (or an International Driving Permit for foreign nationals).

  • Should have no history of driving under the influence or reckless driving.

Enrollment Formalities:

  • Submission of personal details, address proof, and driving license copy.

  • Identity verification by Regal staff.

  • Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

4. Booking of Regal Vehicles

  • Users may book via the Regal website, WhatsApp, or phone.

  • Bookings are subject to vehicle availability.

  • Rental fees must be paid as per the stated pricing plan.

  • Regal reserves the right to cancel or reschedule bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.

5. Scope of Vehicle Rental Services Provided by Regal

Regal provides self-drive vehicle rental services including:

  • Hourly, daily, and long-term rentals.

  • Doorstep vehicle delivery and pick-up.

  • Roadside assistance during the rental period.

6. Persons Permitted to Use/Rent Regal Vehicles

  • Only the registered User or pre-approved co-driver may operate the vehicle.

  • Lending or sub-renting the vehicle to a third party is strictly prohibited.

7. Prohibited Use of Regal Vehicles

Users shall not:

  • Use the vehicle for illegal activities.

  • Drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Use the vehicle for racing, towing, or off-road driving.

  • Overload the vehicle beyond manufacturer specifications.

  • Use the vehicle for commercial transport of passengers or goods.

8. Obligations of the User

  • Ensure valid driving license at all times.

  • Return the vehicle on time and in the same condition as received.

  • Report any accidents, damage, or theft immediately.

  • Pay any penalties, fines, or fees incurred during the rental period.

9. Controls Exercised by Regal

Regal may:

  • Track vehicle location via GPS for safety and misuse prevention.

  • Monitor vehicle usage to ensure compliance with the rental policy.

  • Suspend services for breach of terms or unsafe driving behaviour.

10. Vehicle Pick-Up and Return

  • Users must inspect the vehicle at pick-up and report any existing damage.

  • Late return fees may apply if the vehicle is not returned on time.

  • Vehicle must be returned with all original documents and accessories.

11. Fuel Charges

  • Vehicles are provided with fuel as per the booking plan.

  • If returned with less fuel than delivered, fuel charges will be applicable.

  • “Fuel not included” bookings require the User to bear all fuel costs.

12. Vehicle Condition

  • Vehicles are provided in good working condition.

  • Users must maintain cleanliness and avoid damage or misuse.

  • Smoking, spitting, or littering in the vehicle is strictly prohibited.

13. Safety

  • Users must wear seatbelts and follow all traffic safety norms.

  • Use of mobile phones while driving is prohibited unless hands-free.

  • Children must be seated with appropriate safety restraints.

14. Breakdown or Incidents

  • In case of a breakdown, Regal provides 24/7 roadside assistance.

  • Accidents must be reported immediately along with FIR (if applicable).

  • Repairs without authorization are not reimbursed.

15. Traffic Violations

  • Users are responsible for all traffic fines, challans, and penalties.

  • Any pending violations will be billed post-rental with documentation.

16. Roadside Assistance

  • Provided in case of battery failure, flat tire, engine trouble, etc.

  • Does not include fuel delivery or repair due to user negligence.

17. Payments Policy

  • All payments are to be made in advance via UPI, card, or net banking.

  • Security deposit (if applicable) is refundable post vehicle inspection.

  • No-shows or last-minute cancellations may incur penalties.

18. Revocation of License

Regal reserves the right to revoke access or deny future rentals if:

  • User submits false documents.

  • User is found misusing or damaging the vehicle.

  • User violates major terms of this Agreement.

19. Suspension/Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if:

  • You breach the terms of this Agreement.

  • There is fraudulent or suspicious activity.

  • Required documents are not valid or updated.

20. Indemnification

The User agrees to indemnify and hold Regal harmless from any liability, claims, damages, or expenses arising out of:

  • Misuse of the vehicle.

  • Breach of Terms.

  • Violation of any applicable laws or third-party rights.

21. Penalty

Regal reserves the right to charge penalties for:

  • Late return

  • Damage to vehicle

  • Lost accessories or documents

  • Unauthorized usage or modifications

22. Data Protection

Your personal data is collected, stored, and processed in accordance with:

23. Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes:

  • Parties agree to attempt amicable resolution first.

  • If unresolved, disputes will be subject to arbitration under Indian Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996.

24. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Jurisdiction lies with the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.

25. Severability

If any clause in this document is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of the agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
